Russia cuts off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria

Russian energy giant Gazprom has cut off gas supplies to European Union members Poland and Bulgaria.


Moscow had previously demanded that EU countries pay their gas bills in rubles, seen as a bid to mitigate the impact of sanctions imposed by the West over the invasion of Ukraine.

At least 11 die by electrocution in South India

Austin: no time to waste in helping Ukraine; talk of nuclear war is reckless

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has said that the US and its allies must move "at the speed of war" in their efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against the Russian invasion.

Biden issues first pardons of his presidency for people with nonviolent drug crimes
