Man found guilty of murdering British MP Sir David Amess

A 26-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of British MP Sir David Amess.


Ali Harbi Ali from Leighton-on-Sea, Essex, was found to have fatally stabbed him 20 times at a constituency surgery in October last year.


He has also been found guilty of preparing acts of terrorism and claimed the attack was carried out to prevent the MP from "harming Muslims" in Syria.

UK Chancellor refers himself to independent review

UK Labour MP accuses Chancellor of clear 'conflict of interest' amid tax row

UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has written to the Prime Minister asking for an independent investigation into his own tax interests.
