Blinken and Biden reaffirm commitment to NATO

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken fears "the suffering" in Ukraine "is likely to get worse before it gets better."


At a meeting with NATO Foreign Minister counterparts, Mr Blinken warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin risks "opening a Pandora's box of trouble for the entire world."

Crypto exchanges resist calls to shut down Russian accounts

Cryptocurrency exchanges are resisting calls to shut down services in Russia adding to fears that crypto could blunt the impact of international sanctions.

The Ukrainian government has demanded that exchanges block ordinary Russian users from buying and selling digital currencies such as bitcoin.

Supreme Court Reinstates Death Sentence for Boston Marathon Bomber

The United States Supreme Court has reinstated the death sentence for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. (JOE-car tsar-NAH-yev) 

He was convicted in the 2013 attack that led to the deaths of three spectators and a police officer and left hundreds of others injured.

Australian cricket legend Shane Warne Dies aged 52

Shane Warne, one of the world's best ever cricketers, has died of a suspected heart attack aged 52.


His management team confirmed that he was found unresponsive in his villa in Thailand on Friday, March 4th.


The Australian is widely recognised as one of the best spin bowlers of all time and his death has been met with countless tributes from sportspeople around the world.

Japan government to release 7.5 million barrels of oil in bid to calm market
