US fears Russian invasion of Ukraine imminent

US President Biden has reportedly told NATO and EU leaders the US
thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to invade Ukraine.

It comes as the White House urges citizens to leave Ukraine in the
next 24-48 hours, warning an invasion could be imminent.

Jury deliberations set to begin in Palin vs. NYT trial

Deadline day for unvaccinated New York’s municipal workers

Uganda Registers Drop in HIV Prevalence

Uganda has registered a slight drop in its HIV prevalence – according to a new report.

 

The preliminary results of the 2020 Uganda population-based HIV impact assessment shows that current prevalence of HIV has fallen to 5.5 percent from 6.0 percent in 2016.

 

The survey was conducted between February 2020 and February 2021.

Met Police chief resigns "with great sadness"

The head of the Metropolitan Police, Cressida Dick, says that she had no option but to resign after losing the confidence and support of Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London.


Her decision came just hours after she told a radio interviewer that she had no intention of yielding to her critics.


But she says once the Mayor had rejected as inadequate her proposals to reform the police after revelations of racism, bullying and misogyny within the force, she had to go.
