US President Joe Biden has defended his record on the eve of the
anniversary of his first year in office, saying he "didn't
overpromise".
At his first press conference in more than two and a half months the
president outlined how his administration has improved the economy,
job prospects and the Covid-19 situation over the last 12 months.
But his one-year mark comes as polls show only 33% of the population
approve of his running of the country.
The US is experiencing its highest level of Covid-19 infections and
inflation has risen at its fastest pace in 40 years.
But the President championed some of the successes from the past year.
