Biden approval rating at 33% in new poll

US President Joe Biden's approval rating has dropped to just 33 per cent according to a new opinion poll.


53 per cent of respondents in the left-leaning Quinnipiac University poll disapproved of his performance.

As calls mount for Boris Johnson's resignation, loyalists back him publicly

Calls are growing for the resignation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and some of them are coming from within his own party.


The Prime Minister on Wednesday acknowledged that the DID attend a party in the garden of Number 10 Downing Street that appears to have breached lockdown regulations being observed by the rest of the country at the time.


In Parliament he apologized and said that with hindsight he should have left the event and instructed its attendees to return to work.


Even the Prime Minister's defenders, like the Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees Mogg, now concede their man is in difficulty.

New York judge denies Prince Andrew's effort to get civil laswuit dismissed

A judge in New York has ruled that Virginia Giuffre's civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew alleging the Duke abused her on three separate occasions when she was 17 years old CAN go ahead.

He's dismissed efforts by the Duke's lawyers to get the lawsuit thrown out.

U.S. sees highest inflation of 7% last year since 1982

Inflation is up to its highest annual rate in nearly 40 years in the United States.

The UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted he attended a potentially rule-breaking party in his Downing Street residence in May 2020, when the country was still in a Covid-19 lockdown. 

 

Amid mounting anger, including from his own MPs, he faced a grilling in Parliament over a gathering of dozens of people in Number 10's garden, at a time when social contact was strictly limited.


Mr Johnson apologised for any "misjudgements" and says he accepts "full responsibility" for what happened. But the opposition Labour Party is calling for him to step down.

Kremlin denies military drills linked to NATO talks
