AU says banning African countries is wrong
The African Union says banning travel from African countries because of the new Omicron COVID-19 variant is "regrettable."
According to the World Health Organization, only 4 out of 24 countries that have identified cases of Omicron are in Africa, but many governments have restricted travel from several nations in the southern part of the continent.

Biden tightens testing requirements for incoming travelers to USA
President Biden has announced new Covid-19 testing requirements for international travelers heading to the United States for the holiday season.
He's also pledged to donate 200 million doses of vaccines to the global community within the next 100 days.
The President said the severity of the Omicron variant requires continuing study, and he again urged more than 100 million Americans who have NOT yet received a booster shot to make plans to get one.
