Beijing dismisses concerns over Hong Kong press freedoms

UK and EU fail to make progress in latest Brexit talks


The UK and European Union have failed to bridge the gap between them in the latest talks over the Northern Ireland protocol.

British government minister Lord Frost met with his European counterpart on Friday to discuss the key part of the Brexit agreement, which was designed to avoid a hard border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Texas sues Biden administration over vaccine mandates

Texas has become the latest state to sue the Biden administration over what it calls "unconstitutional" vaccine mandates.

The state's attorney general filed the suit on Friday, saying there were "many statutory and constitutional" reasons why the Court should block requirements for private-sector workers to get their jabs.

Pfizer antiviral Covid-19 drug 89% effective

Australian states reach 80 percent vaccination point
