Russia has broken two Covid-19 records, hitting an unprecedented daily death toll and daily rate of infection.

Over 31,000 people are becoming infected each day, and 986 died of Covid-19 on Wednesday.

The number of excess deaths since the pandemic began are over 660,000.

WFP Forced to Prioritize Food Rations Due to Funding Shortfall

Extra healthcare funding announced in England

UK/EU NI NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN

UK and EU negotiators are beginning talks on proposals for changes to the post-Brexit Northern Ireland Protocol.

Brussels has suggested a number of ways of easing checks on goods and supplies moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.

The UK also wants oversight of post-Brexit rules in Northern Ireland by the European Court of Justice removed, but Brussels says that's not possible.

The EU says it hopes a deal can be reached to ease tensions caused by the Northern Ireland protocol by the end of the year.
