EU to set out response to UK post-Brexit trace demands

The European Union will today (Wednesday) offer to remove a majority of post-Brexit checks on British goods entering Northern Ireland, as it seeks to resolve a trading dispute with the UK. 


It comes after Britain threatened to rip up a key protocol of the Brexit deal, as Benji Hyer explains from London.

France considers extending Covid-19 health pass obligations to summer 2022

The French government is considering whether to extend until next summer the obligation to show a Covid-19 health pass to access public places.

The measure was introduced at the start of August in a bid to encourage more people to take a coronavirus vaccination.

State Dept: Talks with Taliban "Largely Positive"

UK government minister calls for "significant change" to Northern Ireland Protocol

Russia reports record daily COVID-19 deaths

EU and US officials hold talks with Taliban in Doha
