US admits killing 10 Afghan civilians rather than ISIS-K militants

The Pentagon has admitted a drone strike in Afghanistan last month
killed ten civilians rather than ISIS-K militants.

The US military initially celebrated the strike, which came just days
before troops withdrew from Kabul, but now says it was a "tragic"
"mistake".

UN says Earth on "Catastrophic" Path

The United Nations is warning earth is on a "catastrophic pathway" with global temperatures poised to rise 2.7 degrees Celsius by the end of the century.

UK REVEALS 'SIMPLIFIED' COVID TRAVEL MEASURES

ECOWAS imposes stiffer sanctions against Guinea and demands return to civilian rule within six months.

West African leaders have given Guinea six months to transition to civilian rule.  It comes after the military junta ousted President Alpha Conde, accusing him of corruption and mismanagement of the economy. The regional bloc, ECOWAS has also imposed stiffer sanctions including travel ban against the junta leaders and threatened to apply the same sanctions to Mali if the country fails to hold elections early next year.

UK TRAVEL RULES SET TO CHANGE

British ministers are expected to confirm sweeping changes to the UK's international travel rules.

It's reported the government will no longer require double-vaccinated people to take Covid-19 PCR tests on their return to the UK.

US defends UK-Australia alliance

The United States has defended its new military alliance with
Australia and the United Kingdom following an international diplomatic
backlash.
