Former US Defense Secretary Rumsfeld dies aged 88

U.N. urges U.S. to lift Iran sanctions under 2015 nuclear deal

Cosby sexual assault conviction overturned, to be released within hours

Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction has been overturned by Philadelphia’s highest court, which will see him released within hours.

The court found that a deal with a previous prosecutor prevented Cosby from being charged in the case. He has served more than two years of a three-to-ten year sentence in a state prison.

UK AND EU EXTEND GRACE PERIOD ON NORTHERN IRELAND TRADE

The UK and EU are extending a grace period on changes to trading rules between Britain and Northern Ireland, in a last-minute concession by the EU.

The changes would have created greater disparity between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, across the Irish Sea, which the UK felt was unacceptable.

In particular, transporting chilled meats like sausages from Britain into Northern Ireland would have become impossible - even though they're part of the same country.
