NATO Sec General & Biden agree on strengthening trans-Atlantic alliance ahead of leaders summit and Putin meeting

NATO's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that he and US President Joe Biden agreed on the importance of strengthening the trans-Atlantic alliance in a meeting at the White House.


It comes a week before the NATO leaders summit in Brussels.

Japan’s GDP shrank less than first reported during emergency

Japan's GDP for the last quarter shrank less than first reported, according to fresh government data.

US Justice Department recovers most of the ransom paid to pipeline hackers

America's Justice Department says it's recovered most of the ransom paid to Russian hackers by the owners of a US petroleum pipeline.


Last month, the Colonial Pipeline was shut down for nearly a week after a ransomware attack, causing petrol shortages up-and-down America's east coast.

Bid to reverse UK's foreign aid spending cut rejected by House of Commons Speaker

Proposals from rebel Conservative MPs to reverse cuts to foreign aid have been rejected in the House of Commons.

Jeff Bezos announces he'll be on his own rocket's first crewed space flight

UK gvt minister questions decision to ban England cricketer for 'racist' comments

The UK's Culture and Sport Secretary, Oliver Dowden, says English cricket's ruling body has gone "over the top" in suspending cricketer Ollie Robinson for racist and sexist remarks he tweeted almost a decade ago.


Mr Dowden tweeted himself that whilst the posts were "offensive and wrong," the England and Wales Cricket Board should "think again" about the decision.
