All six English clubs involved in the break-away European Super League have now confirmed their withdrawal from the competition.

The Super League itself says it will now consider how to 'reshape' the controversial project.

The tournament would have given the founder members permanent spots - and it was opposed by many fans, governing bodies, players, managers and governments.

UK Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden is welcoming the news that Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea have all pulled out.

South Korea court adopts sovereign immunity in "comfort women" ruling

A South Korean court has dismissed claims brought against the Japanese government by a group of Korean women over their treatment during World War II. The plaintiffs were seeking damages for being forced to work as "comfort women" in Japan's military brothels. 


The court ruled that the Japanese government was immune under international law.

A video of Mr Chauvin kneeling on Mr Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes sparked global protests over racial injustice last year.


Keith Ellison told reporters he hopes the verdict sends a message to perpetrators of police brutality.

Biden says he's "praying" for the "right verdict" in Chauvin's murder trial

US President Joe Biden says he's praying for the jury in the Derek Chauvin murder trial to reach what he called "the right verdict", saying the evidence in the case concerning the killing last May of George Floyd is "overwhelming".
