Hong Kong democracy activists jailed over 2019 protests

Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai has been jailed for over a year, along with four other high profile democracy campaigners, for their involvement in anti-government protests in 2019. Lai was also charged with two additional offences under Hong Kong's controversial national security law.

Eight killed in US mass shooting

Eight people have been killed in a mass shooting at a FedEx facility
in the US city of Indianapolis.

It's the deadliest attack in a month, since 10 people were killed in a
Colorado supermarket.
