Minnesota shooting body cam footage released

Tanzania and Uganda finally sign the final agreement in the EAST AFRICA CRUDE oil pipeline deal.

President Yoweri Museveni has called the signing of the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline between Tanzania and Uganda a victory for the two countries. The high-level signing ceremony was attended by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the French oil giant, Total SA's chief executive, Patrick Pouyanne.

Zuma instructed to suggest an appropriate punishment

South Africa’s Constitutional Court wants former president Jacob Zuma to propose and motivate what punishment he should face, if found to be in contempt of court. The Zondo Commission of Inquiry is asking that a two-year prison sentence be handed down to Zuma, who defied a Constitutional Court order to appear before the commission in February. India overtakes Brazil as the world's second worst-hit country

India has reported another record spike in COVID infections in the past day, and has overtaken Brazil as the world's second worst-hit country by overall COVID-19 cases.

The country recorded 168,912 fresh cases in the last 24 hours taking the total caseload to over 13.5 million.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people have gathered in India's northern state of Uttarakhand for the Hindu festival called Kumbh Mela.

Matsuyama becomes first Japanese man to win golf major

Fed Chair warns US economy at an "inflection point".

Blinken criticises China over COVID and Taiwan

Uganda and Tanzania Reach Oil Pipeline Agreement

Uganda, and Tanzania have signed agreements to kick start the process of building a crude oil export pipeline.

 

The over 1400km pipeline will run from Hoima in Western Uganda to the Indian Ocean Port of Tanga – in Tanzania.

 

The pipeline project is the main pre-requisite for the production of Uganda's crude oil resources…
