Ghislaine Maxwell faces new sex trafficking charges

US prosecutors have filed two new charges against British socialist Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell is facing sex trafficking charges relating to a fourth alleged victim.

Hong Kong seeks quarantine-free travel bubbles

Biden warns states to reinstate mask mandates amid Covid surge fears

US Public Health Official - "Right Now I'm Scared"

WHO report expected to say COVID-19 originated in Chinese wildlife trade

The wildlife trade in China is the most likely origin of COVID-19 according to a draft copy of a World Health Organization report obtained by The Associated Press.


The report says that transmission of the virus from bats to humans through another animals is the most likely scenario and that a lab leak is "extremely unlikely".

Militants seize north Mozambique town, several killed, some reportedly flee to Tanzania

Islamist militants have seized control of the town of Palma in northern Mozambique, killing several people including at least one foreign worker, and forcing France's Total to suspend operations at a huge gas project.
