France imposes a regional Covid-19 lockdown for major cities

16 French regions go back into lockdown in the early hours of Saturday morning local time/overnight tonight Friday into Saturday.


The measure will last for at least a month and comes as France faces a deteriorating situation in hospitals due to a third wave of coronavirus infections.

Australia - All Australians to receive first dose by end of October

Australian Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt says he's confident the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine will have been received by all australians by late October.


From Monday, Phase 1B of the vaccine rollout will begin, with elderly and immuno-compromised people the next to get the jab.

US-China discussions off to fiery start

US House Passes Bill Creating Pathway to Citizenship for Dreamers

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill that creates a pathway to citizenship for millions immigrants living in the United States.  This first effort at immigration reform under the Biden administration comes as the US confronts a growing surge of migrants at the US-Mexico border.
