EMA REITERATES LACK OF EVIDENCE FOR LINK BETWEEN AZ VACCINE & BLOOD CLOTS

The head of the European Medicines Agency has reiterated there's no indication the AstraZenica Covid-19 vaccine causes blood clots.

It's undertaking an emergency review of all available evidence after sixteen EU countries paused vaccination - some of a specific batch - others completely.

South African student protests continue

School attack: Three teachers kidnapped in Kaduna, northcentral Nigeria


Three teachers have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in an attack which happened on Monday morning at a primary school in Kaduna State.

More than 30 students are still missing from a previous attack on another school in Kaduna state.

Security Council extends mandate of United Nations Mission in South Sudan

13 EU COUNTRIES SUSPEND AZ VACCINATION

Thirteen European countries have completely, or partially, suspended Covid-19 vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine — after multiple reports of people developing blood clots.

But the European Medicines Agency says the number of people with blood clots is no different amongst those vaccinated than to the rest of the population.

It and the World Health Organisation have previously said the jab is safe, but will both now look again.

Navalny moved to prison colony

Germany: 20% spike in new Covid-19 cases

China Pledges 300,000 COVID-19 Vaccines Doses to UN Peacekeepers

China says it plans to donate 300,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to United Nations Peacekeepers, adding to the 200,000 pledged by India to support troops on peacekeeping missions.

France suspends use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine

France has suspended the use of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.


The French president says the country is going to stop using the Anglo-Swedish drugmaker's vaccine until at least the afternoon of March 16.


The decision has been made in conjunction with Germany and Italy.
