Navalny moved to prison colony

Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny has been moved to a prison colony where he will serve his two-and-a-half year sentence on fraud charges. His legal team was informed on Monday after he disappeared from pre-trial detention last week with no notification. Julia Chapman reports.

Germany: 20% spike in new Covid-19 cases

The German Government is facing calls to reinstate all lockdown measures as the country records a 20 percent jump in new Covid-19 cases. 

The spike comes as pressure mounts on Germany's health regulator to better explain why it decided to temporarily suspend the use of the Astrazeneca vaccine.

Boris Johnson to visit India at end of April

China Pledges 300,000 COVID-19 Vaccines Doses to UN Peacekeepers

China says it plans to donate 300,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to United Nations Peacekeepers, adding to the 200,000 pledged by India to support troops on peacekeeping missions.

France suspends use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine

France has suspended the use of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.


The French president says the country is going to stop using the Anglo-Swedish drugmaker's vaccine until at least the afternoon of March 16.


The decision has been made in conjunction with Germany and Italy.

Uganda's Bobi Wine Arrested

Police in Uganda have arrested opposition politician and former Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine.
