US House to vote on migrant protections

The US House of Representatives is voting this week on the Biden
administration's first immigration reform measures.

It comes as the government attempts to control the growing crisis of
children trying to cross the US-Mexico border.

Uganda's Bobi Wine Arrested

Intro;

Police in Uganda have arrested opposition politician and former Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine.

 

The popular artist turned politician was arrested as he staged what police called an unlawful procession in the capital – Kampala.

 

Police is also holding several members of Bobi Wine's political party, the National Unity Platform.

EU set to announce legal action against the UK

The European Union is to launch legal action against the UK, after the British government unilaterally delayed parts of the new Brexit arrangements for Northern Ireland. 

A letter notifying the British government of infringement proceedings will be issued on Monday.

WHO and AstraZeneca insist Covid jab is safe, despite several EU countries suspending rollout

The UK medicines regulator says the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine is safe, after several countries halted its use due to concerns over blood clots.
