Gunmen in Nigeria's northwestern Kaduna state kidnap unknown number of female students


Unknown gunmen have kidnapped female students from a school in Nigeria's northwestern Kaduna state. 

In the past 4 months, there's been a series of kidnappings in Nigeria, especially in the north, despite the government's efforts to halt them.

Several EU countries suspend AstraZeneca batches due to blood clotting fears

At least five European countries have suspended use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine amid reports of blood clotting in some people who've received it. 

The EU's health regulator says it is reviewing the incidents but suggests there was no "specific link" between blood clotting and the vaccine.

UNHCR Chief Filippo Grandi Calls for Refugee Support in Uganda

WALES EASES LOCKDOWN

Wales is easing coronavirus lockdown restrictions from Saturday.

'Stay at Home' guidance will become 'Stay Local', and outdoor sports facilities such as golf, tennis and basketball can reopen.

From Monday, hairdressers and barbers will be allowed to open, with easing of restrictions on non-essential retail from March 22nd.

It comes as covid-19 cases, hospitalisations and deaths continue to fall across the UK.

Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford says the data backs up what is a faster initial reopening than England's.

SOUTH SUDAN'S GOVERNMENT TRANSFERS CASH TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE

The World Bank, United Nations and South Sudan's government have launched cash transfers to individuals in the country to try and mitigate financial challenges posed by COVID-19.

The World Bank is providing a grant of $40 million to the government for the project known as South Sudan Safety Net, the program is scheduled to run for two year.

EUROVISION BANS BELARUS' SONG
