Pharma giant Merck expected to start manufacturing Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine in US


US President Joe Biden is expected to announce that pharmaceutical giant Merck will manufacture Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine.

Oxford University begins Covid-19 vaccine trials on children

Trials to test the efficacy of the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine on children are taking place this month.

Third woman accuses New York Governor of sexual harassment

A woman in her 30s has accused New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo of
making unwanted advances towards her at a wedding in 2019.

This comes after two former aides accused the Governor of sexual

Uganda Set to Receive COVID-19 Vaccines from COVAX

RUSSIA “WILL RECIPROCATE” ON US/EU SANCTIONS

UK considers bid for 2030 Football World Cup

France reverses stance on AstraZeneca vaccine for over-65s

The over-65s will now be able to have the AstraZeneca vaccine in France.

It's a change in stance on the issue - French president Emmanuel Macron said in January that the vaccine was "quasi-ineffective" for older age groups.

The French government had previously warned that the Anglo-Swedish company's vaccine may not be as safe and effective as other jabs - a viewpoint it has now clarified as more data has emerged.

Pressure builds on Merkel to end Covid-19 lockdown
