Farmers clash with police in Delhi as protests turn violent

Thousands of protesting farmers have entered India's capital where they've clashed with the police. This on a day the country marks its Republic Day with a scaled-down military parade in New Delhi.

First case of Brazil P1 COVID variant found in US

Biden reinstates Covid travel ban, adds South Africa

US president Joe Biden is set to issue new Covid-related travel restrictions, banning most non-US citizens traveling to America from South Africa and reinstating a ban on those from Brazil, the United Kingdom and 26 European countries.


The move comes after warnings that more infectious Covid strains in South Africa, the UK and Brazil could reduce the efficacy of the two vaccines being administered in the U.S.
