Nigerian Troops Kill Dozens of armed criminals in the country's northwest



The Nigerian military have killed more than 50 armed criminals in a village in the northwestern state of Zamfara. This is part of an ongoing effort to tackle banditry and cattle rustling in the northern part of the country.

UK OPENS MASS VACCINATION SITES

Seven mass vaccination centres are opening (on Monday) in the UK.

Around two million people have already received a jab, but the government's target is to vaccinate 15 million in the top priority groups by the middle of next month.

Hundreds more smaller vaccination sites are also due to open later this week.

The minister in charge of the vaccine roll-out, Nadhim Zahawi, says the operation is picking up pace.

Hong Kong slams critics of its controversial national security law

The Hong Kong government is accusing foreign critics of the city's national security law of slander. The US, UK, Canada and Australia have jointly condemned the use of the law to arrest more than 50 activists and politicians last week. 

But the Hong Kong government is dismissing that as double standards.

Possible Covid Exposure for Lawmakers during Capitol Riots

Democrats to begin impeachment process against Trump on Monday
