It's official --- Joe Biden has the requisite number of electoral college votes to officially be the president-elect of the United States. 

President Trump has  not recognized the result.

UK IDENTIFIES NEW COVID-19 VARIANT

The UK says a new variant of Covid-19 has been identified which may spread more quickly than other strains of the virus.

It comes as London is placed into the highest Tier 3 restrictions from Wednesday because of spiking cases in the British capital.

Pubs and restaurants will have to close in the city, except for takeaway.
