Dow Jones falls 109 points amid continued uncertainty over economic stimulus deal

The Dow fell more than 100 points on Wednesday as more doubt was
raised over the likelihood Congress will agree on a new economic
stimulus package.

Meanwhile food delivery app DoorDash made a successful debut on Wall Street.

Biden's son says his tax affairs are under investigation

President elect Joe Biden's son Hunter says his taxes are being investigated by prosecutors in Delaware.


Throughout the election campaign, President Trump falsely claimed that Joe Biden and his son had received millions of dollars of illegal payments from China and Ukraine.

Boris Johnson meets EU counterpart in Brussels for crunch talks

Canada Authorizes Use of Pfizer - BioNTech Vaccine

Canada has approved the use of the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech.

France targets radical Islamism in new ‘principles of the Republic’ bill

The French government has formally unveiled proposed legislation to combat separatism - especially radical Islamism - which President Macron blamed for fatal attacks in France in October.


The new bill will target institutions harbouring extremist ideologies but some Islamic leaders fear it unfairly targets law-abiding Muslims.

UGANDA ALLOWS CHINESE INVESTORS TO IMPORT COVID19 VACCINES

Ethiopia refuses external investigation into massacre

The Democratic Republic of Congo's parliament is set to convene on Thursday to hear petitions about the removal of the speaker from office - as a major political crisis deepens.

2 ALLERGIC REACTIONS IN UK TO PFIZER JAB

Two healthcare workers in Britain had an allergic reaction to the Pfizer-Biontech coronavirus vaccine on the first day of its rollout.

Regulators now say people with a history of severe allergies should not take the jab.

The two patients had mild allergic reactions and both recovered fully.
