UK, US Meet Uganda's Museveni Over South Sudan Peace Process

Intro;

British and US diplomats have asked Uganda to reign in on South Sudan leaders to quickly resolve the political and security impasse in Juba.

 

The envoys held discussions with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni seeking consul over the Juba situation and the possible way forward to the current standoff.

 

The US, UK are guarantors of the peace process in Juba.

Investigations continue into mystery illness in south India

Indian authorities are investigating if organochlorines - used as pesticides or in mosquito control – led to more than 400 people being hospitalised in the state of Andhra Pradesh and caused the death of one patient.

The "mystery" illness resulted in patients suffering from headaches and vomiting, while some patients fainted or even had fits.

Germany releases vaccination plan to explain who will be first to receive Covid-19 jab

German health authorities have released their draft strategy for who will be the first to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
