Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam says her main priority is to restore confidence in the city, after a year of social unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her annual policy address, the Chief Executive said the national security law had brought stability to Hong Kong, and criticised foreign governments for what she called their increased interference in local affairs.

The French president says the peak of the second wave of Covid-19 infections has passed, as the numbers of new cases and number of patients being treated in hospital continues to fall.
