Global Times: Australia, Japan Containing China, despite RCEP


Chinese media has accused Japan and Australia of continuing to try and contain China despite recently signing the regional comprehensive economic partnership, comprising all three nations.

It comes after Tokyo and Canberra announced they'd reached broad agreement on a defence deal between Japan and Australia.

N. Korea to go it alone in fight against COVID-19

North Korea has reported that it's going to boost its efforts to fight the pandemic without any outside help. State media said that allowing any outside intervention would increase the risk of the virus entering the country.

Hong Kong democracy activists call for Five Eyes action on China

Hong Kong democracy activists are calling on the international Five Eyes alliance to turn its words into actions, when pressuring China over suppression of dissent in the city. 

The alliance is urging Beijing to immediately reinstate the four Hong Kong lawmakers that it disqualified last week. But democracy campaigners in Hong Kong say a tougher approach is needed.

Apple Settles "Batterygate"

Trump administration blocked from expelling unaccompanied migrant minors

The Trump administration has been blocked from deporting asylum-seeking minors who arrive in the United States without a guardian.


A federal judge ruled that border agents can no longer use a COVID-19 order to expel migrant children.

Boeing approved to resume 737 Max flights

UGANDA OPPOSITION CANDIDATE ARRESTED

UK PM takes part in PMQs virtually for first time ever

UK PM unveils 10-point climate plan, inc ban on petrol/diesel cars

The British government has announced a ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars in the UK from 2030.


It's part of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's long-awaited 10-point plan, with a commitment to make the UK carbon neutral by 2050 through a "green industrial revolution."

Delhi Planning to Impose Restrictions Across the City

India added over 38,000 new COVID 19 infections in the past day, taking the country's total caseload to over 8.9 million.

UK UNVEILS 'GREEN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION'
