Former Mexican defense minister arrested in U.S.

A former Mexican defense minister has been arrested in the United
States on drug charges.

General Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda was in the post from 2012 to 2018
and faces drug trafficking and money laundering charges.

Berlin Curfew quashed by court - bars can open again past 11pm

The first curfew to hit Berlin's bars and restaurants in 70 years has lasted less than a week after a court quashed the measure. A city court said health data showed bars weren't to blame for a huge surge in the city's Covid-19 cases - and that a forced curfew on late-night trading was a disproportionate response to fighting the pandemic in the German capital.

Sadyr Japarov becomes acting president and prime-minister of Kyrgyzstan

S. Korea sees large drop in cases after holiday spike

Republican Senators to Subpoena Twitter CEO

Republican senators say they are planning to subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey over the platform's decision to block access to two newspaper articles about presidential candidate Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden.


Twitter said it blocked users from sharing the articles over concerns that they were based on hacked material.

Postive covid test for Biden plane passenger but campaign says former VP doesn't need to quarantine.

The Biden Campaign has said an individual who shared a plane with Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19.
