France fears a "wave" of new coronavirus cases in Paris capital region

Four more French cities will be placed on maximum coronavirus alert from Saturday and several others have been put on warning as the country's Covid-19 infection rate continues to increase.


The health minister said the situation in France was deteriorating as he announced new restrictions for major cities including Lyon and Lille.

Trump pulls out of virtual debate, Biden nonplussed

Jobless claims data suggests cooling labour market

840,000 Americans filed for first time unemployment benefits last week
in a sign that the rate of job hiring may be starting to slow.

Navalny's team urges FSB to investigate use of chemical weapons in Russia

Hong Kong Police investigate 600 million dollar art theft

Hong Kong Police have arrested three people after recovering a haul of stolen artwork estimated to be worth more than 600 million US dollars.
