Trump confirms he'll attend debate, despite Covid recovery

US President Donald Trump says he will attend the next presidential
debate with challenger Joe Biden in-person, despite still recovering
from COVID-19.

The debate next Thursday comes as the President continues to downplay
the seriousness of the virus.

Facebook Removes Trump Coronavirus Post

Facebook has removed a post by US president Donald Trump comparing coronavirus to the seasonal flu.


It's the second time the social media network has sanctioned the president for violating its rules about misinformation about the virus.

Michelle Obama labels Trump "morally wrong", "racist"


Michelle Obama has called US President Donald Trump's response to anti-racism protests that swept the country this summer, "morally wrong" and "racist."

EU's top court prevents countries from collecting mass mobile and internet data

The EU's top court has ruled that European countries can't collect mass mobile and internet data on citizens.

French waste services firms clash over potential 'global giant' takeover

The French finance minister has denounced both sides in a hostile merger between two rival French water companies.

Bruno Le Maire criticised Suez and Veolia for their actions regarding the controversial takeover which was agreed on Monday.

Iran ordered to pay $1.45bn for missing US hostage

Iran has been ordered to pay almost $1.5 billion dollars to the family

Trump spends first night out of hospital; urges Americans not to be afraid of Coronavirus

US President Donald Trump has spent his first night back at the White House after being treated for coronavirus in hospital.

UK PM VOWS TO DEFEAT COVID-19 IN SPEECH

Boris Johnson has vowed to defeat Covid-19 and dismissed claims that his own bout of the virus has "robbed him of his mojo." 


In his leader's speech at the Conservative party's virtual conference the UK Prime Minister laid out a number of promises, including to "build a new Jerusalem," and declared that he had "more than enough of this disease."

Uganda to Build Roads in Eastern DR Congo

The Ugandan government says it will help finance the construction of 200km of roads inside neighboring Congo.

This follows a meeting between Presidents Museveni of Uganda and DR Congo's Felix Tshisekedi in November 2019, where the two leaders agreed to jointly construct a number of border roads to promote trade.
