France, Germany decline to participate in WHO COVAX scheme

The WHO says countries comprising more than 60% of the world's population have signed up to its COVAX initiative to buy coronavirus vaccines- but a number have declined or refused to participate. 

These include France, Germany, China and the US, who've chosen to strike their own deals with pharmaceutical firms.

OVER A MILLION OF ENGLAND'S PUPILS MISSING SCHOOL

England's schools are sending home increasingly more pupils, compared to last week, due to Covid-19 incidents.

A week ago, one percent of England's pupils were home due to confirmed or suspected cases of the virus.

This week, it's four percent, meaning over a million pupils are missing school.

More than 200,000 Americans dead from Covid-19

More than 200 thousand Americans have now died of Covid-19.


The landmark was passed earlier today according to Johns Hopkins University which tabulates the figures.

Deutsche Bank shuttering 20 percent of German branches

Eastern DRC Rebel Attack

New COVID-19 restrictions announced in England; PM Boris Johnson urges public to comply
