US President Trump: COVID-19 vaccine doses for every American ready by April 2021


US President Donald Trump says the government will have enough doses of a new COVID-19 vaccine for every American by April next year.

This week, a top US health official told Congress that a vaccine wouldn't be widely available until the second or third quarter of 2021...but President Trump says it will be much earlier.

COVID-19: Nigerian airlines struggling after two months of resumption




Nigerian airlines say they are running at a loss two months after flight operations resumed across the country.

The operators say the government may need to intensify its efforts to ensure local airlines remain in business during the global pandemic.

The country has recorded over 56,000 cases of the virus and more than 1,000 deaths so far.

Rapid coronavirus test can give results in less than 2 hours

A rapid new COVID-19 test which can diagnose a coronavirus infection within just 90 minutes is showing accurate results, according to a scientific review in the UK. 


The test doesn't need a specialist laboratory, and can be used by anyone who's able to take a swab of their nose or throat.
