Former UK Prime Minister joins other ex PMs in criticising Boris Johnson's new Brexit bill

David Cameron has become the fifth former UK Prime Minister to criticise a bill which would override the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.

MPs will vote on The Internal Market Bill on Tuesday (21:00GMT). If it passes, it will give ministers the power to pass regulations, specifically on trade and state aid, even if they contradict the legal text previously agreed with the European Union.

NVIDIA ACQUIRES UK ARM HOLDINGS

ARM Holdings, a UK computer chip manufacturer, is being bought by US firm Nvidia (pron: en-vidia), which specialises in graphics chips.

The 40 billion dollar deal comes only four years after it was bought by Softbank - a Japanese conglomerate - for 32 billion dollars.

Germany leading high-level virtual summit with China

Germany is leading European talks with China, aimed at easing political tensions.

18 Bodies Recovered in DR Congo Collapsed Mine

Search and rescue workers in the Democratic Republic of Congo have recovered 18 bodies of miners who died in an accident in the eastern province of South Kivu on Friday.

At least 50 people were killed when the mine caved in after torrential rain.

UK MPs TO VOTE ON INTERNAL MARKET BILL

UK MPs will vote later on controversial legislation which could lead to a breach of international law.

The Internal Market Bill contains what the government calls an 'insurance policy' to avoid checks on goods moving between Great Britain and Northern Ireland - in the event of no trade deal being reached with the EU.

$3.5 BILLION TANZANIA UGANDA PIPELINE BACK ON TRACK

UK RATE OF INFECTION INCREASING EXPONENTIALLY

The UK's COVID-19 infection rate has surpassed one — a critical level meaning, on average, one infected person is likely to pass the disease on to at least one other person.

Government scientists believe the rate is between 1 and 1.2, but it varies between regions.
