OXFORD VACCINE TRIALS PAUSED

Trials of a Covid-19 vaccine have been paused, after a potential adverse reaction was reported in a patient in the UK.

The volunteer was taking part in the programme run by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

The drug company says trials will be on hold until it's established whether the patient suffered a side effect from the vaccine.

UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock says it's not necessarily bad news.

India-China border remains tense, high-level diplomatic talks likely soon

Ahead of a meeting between the Indian and Chinese Foreign Ministers this week, the Sino-India border remains tense.

Australia- Teens file class action to stop coal mine approval.

A class action was filed in Australia's Federal Court on Tuesday by a group of teens, on behalf of young people everywhere, seeking an injunction to stop the approval of an extension to Whitehaven's Vickery Coal Mine.

Xinhua: Australian Intelligence Raided Homes of Chinese Journalists

China's Xinhua News has reported that Australian intelligence agency staff raided the homes of Chinese journalists in June.

It's the latest twist in the case surrounding the evacuation of two Australian journalists from China after they were questioned by Chinese state security.

100,000s of redundancies in UK as coronavirus leads to economic downturn
