Health risks from air pollution in Hong Kong are at the highest level on the city's scale. Experts say there's a combination of factors to blame, and are encouraging people to limit their time spent outdoors.

CDC tells US states to prepare for Covid-19 vaccine by November.

The US Centres for Disease Control has told health officials in all 50 US states to be prepared to distribute a COVID-19 vaccine by November, this is just before the country goes to the polls.

Wall Street shrugs off jobs data to post record gains

US sanctions ICC officials & restricts movement of Chinese diplomats


U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has announced new sanctions on senior officials in the International Criminal Court.


He also said Chinese diplomats in the United States are to face new restrictions on freedom of movement, in the latest salvo in deteriorating relations between the two countries.

Pelosi Facing Criticism for Indoor Haircut

High ranking US lawmaker Nancy Pelosi is facing criticism after footage emerged of her getting an indoor haircut in San Francisco, which isn't allowed under the city's coronavirus rules.

GERMANY SAYS RUSSIAN OPPOSITION LEADER POISONED

The German government says Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was "without doubt" poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent.

He's being treated in Berlin, after falling ill on a flight from Siberia to Moscow.

The nerve agent is the same substance used to kill former Soviet spy, Sergei Skripal, in the UK in 2018.

UK government considers quarantine measures in England on arrivals from Greece and Portugal

Tui, the largest travel company in the world, has cancelled holidays to the resort of Laganas on the Greek island Zante because customers were failing to follow coronavirus safety measures. 


The Anglo-German firm's decision comes after half a dozen clusters of cases were linked to flights from the island.


Tui halting trips to Zante coincides with growing pressure on the British government to reconsider England's quarantine rules for Greece.

QUARANTINE MEASURES IMPOSED ON GREEK ARRIVALS

The UK government is considering imposing quarantine on arrivals from Greece, after several clusters of cases linked to the island of Zante.

Fourteen people stand trial over Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris

Fourteen people are standing trial in France, over a terror attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in which 12 people were shot dead. A further three people were killed at a Jewish supermarket.
