Prominent Democrat lawmakers arrested in Hong Kong

Pro-democracy campaigners in Hong Kong are condemning the arrests of two prominent Democrat lawmakers in relation to protest events a year ago.

Local media reports say at least 10 more people have also been arrested, but police have yet to confirm the scale of the operation.

A mixed close on Wall Street amid U.S-China trade deal optimism

The S&P and Nasdaq traded in record territory Tuesday with investors

Melania Trump prepares for headline Convention speech

Night two of the Republican National Convention gets underway in a few
hours, with US President Donald Trump's wife Melania due to give the
main speech of the evening.

Some within the party have criticized the first night for it's dark,
less-than-optimistic tone, and said they want to hear more concrete
policy plans.

The four-night event is a chance for the party to draw around the

LONDON POLICE STOP & SEARCH UP BY 40% DURING LOCKDOWN

UK GOV FACING CALLS TO RETHINK FACE MASK ADVICE IN SCHOOLS

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is being urged to rethink the government's position on face masks in schools. 

At the moment the UK government is not advising children or staff to wear face masks in England.

AstraZeneca starts Covid-19 antibody drug trial in UK

AstraZeneca has begun a clinical trial of a drug which it hopes will help prevent and treat Covid-19.

UK GOVT: FACE MASKS NOT NECESSARY IN SCHOOLS

The UK government says it has no plans to change guidance on the wearing of face coverings in schools.

All schools in England are due to return early next month, but the government is not advising children or staff to wear face masks.

Downing Street says masks could hinder communication between teachers and pupils and insists scientific guidance suggests the return of schools will be safe.
