Federal Reserve set to be in focus on Wall Street [Preview]

UK ADDS MORE COUNTRIES TO QUARANTINE LIST

UK signs deals for 90m COVID vaccine doses

The British government has signed deals for a further 90 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine.


The vaccines are being developed by the Belgian pharmaceutical Janssen and the American biotech company Novavax.

DRC/Zambia Leaders Hold Talks Over Border Dispute

Uganda to Close Shopping Arcades Over Increasing COVID-19 Cases

Uganda's Ministry of Health is considering closing down two shopping arcades in the capital after the premises recorded COVID-19 cases.

The government is concerned over increasing COVID-19 transmissions within the central business district which has gone up by 50% since the lockdown was eased on July 21.

Thousands of British holidaymakers are racing home from France to avoid having to quarantine for two weeks on arrival.

The UK's imposed self-isolation on arrivals from France, the Netherlands, Monaco, Malta, Turks and Caicos, and Aruba.

It's taken the decision based on rising coronavirus rates in those countries.

It'll have a huge impact on France's tourism sector, with around 500 000 Britons thought to currently be in France.

British end-of-school exam results chaos amid COVID-19

Almost 40% of A-level results have been downgraded in England after the end-of-school exams were cancelled because of coronavirus.


Overall, about 280,000 entries have been affected by the disruption.


But, the results across England, Northern Ireland and Wales, do show record highs for the highest A* and A grades.

Jobless claims fall below one million for first time since March

US reports highest daily COVID-19 death toll in months


The US reported almost 1500 deaths from COVID-19 on Wednesday, the highest daily death toll since mid-May.
