China expected to allow disqualified Hong Kong lawmakers to stay on

Local media reports in Hong Kong say China is expected to allow four disqualified Hong Kong lawmakers to continue serving in office until the postponed election next year.

S. Korean baseball takes another step forward amid pandemic

Volunteers reluctant to be part of Tokyo 2020

Secret Service escorts Trump from briefing after shooting near White House

US EPA to roll back rules on methane emissions

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is issuing new rules this week to remove restrictions on methane gas emissions for America's oil and gas companies, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.


It says the new rules would fulfil a directive from US president Donald Trump to roll back regulations on the US energy industry, which were adopted in 2016.

UK URGES FRENCH ACTION ON MIGRANT CROSSINGS

The UK is due to hold talks with France to urge stronger measures from French authorities against migrants crossing the English Channel in boats.
