New Zealand suspends Hong Kong extradition treaty

New Zealand has suspended its extradition treaty with Hong Kong, becoming the last of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance to take action over the city's national security law.

S. Korea says North Korean defector swam back across the border

South Korea's military says it believes a defector returned to North Korea by swimming from a border island. Over the weekend, North Korea reported that a defector turned up in the city of Kaesong with Covid-19 symptoms.

Gains on Wall Street as investors eye stimulus package

Wall Street began the trading week on a high with investors awaiting
details of a new stimulus package.

The Republican bill is set to cost roughly one trillion dollars to
offset the economic pain caused by the pandemic.

This comes as an existing 600 dollar weekly unemployment benefit is
set to expire at the end of the month.

More federal agents to be sent to Portland protests

Alibaba's Jack Ma summoned by Indian court
