Former Tanzanian President to be laid to rest on July 29th

The Tanzanian government has announced that Former Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 29, at his home village of Lupaso in Masasi district, Mtwara region in the south of the country.

U.S. posted nearly 70,000 Covid-19 cases in a single day

The United States recorded close to 70,000 Covid-19 cases on Thursday,
the third highest one-day figure since the pandemic hit.

Pentagon confirms US fighter jet encounter with Iranian passenger plane over Syria

US warns China over Chengdu consulate closure

FORMER TANZANIAN PRESIDENT BENJAMIN MKAPA DIES AT 81

Tanzania's third president Benjamin Mkapa, who served from 1995 to 2005 has died at the age of 81. President Mkapa led several regional peace mediation efforts both while in office and after leaving it. President John Magufuli has declared a seven-day mourning period, with flags flying at half-mast.

Pompeo blasts China in speech
