Big losses on Wall Street following weak jobs data

The U.S. markets suffered heavy losses Thursday following the release
of worse-than-expected unemployment data.

More than four million coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the
U.S. and there are fears that a rise in infections will continue to
hurt the country's labor market.

US judge rules Michael Cohen's return to prison was retaliation for tell-all book

US say China Harboring Scientist at SF Consulate

U.S. prosecutors say the Chinese consulate in San Francisco is harbouring a Chinese scientist suspected of  concealing ties to the Chinese military in order to get a U.S. visa.

The prosecutors say China is engaging in a program to send undercover army scientists to the US…and they say this case is not isolated.

Uganda Registers First COVID-19 Death

Uganda's Ministry of Health confirms the country has registered its first COVID-19 death.

The East African country has recorded slightly over a thousand cases with 971 recoveries.

The Ugandan leader Yoweri Museveni this week further eased lockdown measures, allowing motorcycle taxis and shopping arcades and saloons to operate.

More Brexit stalemate as UK and EU confirm a deal is "far away"

The UK and European Union say they still remain some way off reaching a post-Brexit trade agreement, following the latest negotiations in London.

Jobless claims rise for first time in 15 weeks

More Americans than expected filed for unemployment benefits last week
as a surge in Covid-19 cases hampers the country's economic recovery.

Russian draft law would give long jail sentence for calls to return territory

California Overtakes New York for Most Coronavirus Cases
