Ghislaine Maxwell due in court in New York

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is due to appear in court charged
with helping to groom underage girls who were abused by financier
Jeffrey Epstein.

At least one of her accusers is also expected to take part in the hearing.

WHO Concerned About Ebola Spread in Northwest of DR Congo

The World Health Organisation has expressed concern over the increasing number of Ebola cases in the northwestern part of the The Democratic Republic of Congo.

The WHO's health emergencies chief, Dr Michael Ryan, says he fears the outbreak could spread to other areas if the current trend continues.

Congolese authorities have recorded 48 cases and 20 deaths since the new outbreak was announced in June.

CHINESE TELECOMS GIANT HUAWEI BLOCKED FROM UK 5G NETWORK

The UK will strip its 5G network of Huawei technology by 2027, in a U-turn expected to cost up to
two-and-a-half billion dollars.

Uganda withdraws Distribution of Cancer Causing Drugs from Market

US says China's claims in South China Sea are "unlawful"

The United States has rejected China's maritime claims in the South China Sea, describing them as "completely unlawful."

In a statement Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US was standing with its Southeast Asian allies "in protecting their sovereign rights to offshore resources."

17 States Sue Trump Over Student Visa

Four more states have joined a coalition lawsuit suing the Trump Administration over its rule to revoke visas for foreign students enrolled in schools that fully shift classes online, as part of their pandemic response.
