American Family Attacked in Uganda

Ugandan Police have arrested three men who allegedly attacked and injured an American family in the Eastern city of Jinja.

The family of four, plus their Ugandan security guard are receiving treatment at a hospital in Jinja.

UK RELAXES QUARANTINE REQUIREMENT FOR ARRIVALS

From today, quarantine rules are no longer in place for people travelling to England, Wales and Northern Ireland from more than 75 countries and territories.

It means some people coming to the UK will no longer have to self-isolate for 14 days, and Britons heading abroad won't have to self-isolate when they come back.

The rules are only being relaxed for countries considered at 'low risk' of spreading coronavirus.

QUARANTINE RULES EASED FOR ENGLAND, WALES, NI ARRIVALS

Quarantine rules have ended from today for people travelling to England, Wales and Northern Ireland from more than 70 countries and territories.

It means many Britons can go on holiday - and don't have to isolate for 14 days when they get back.

The UK tourism industry hopes it will also mean a rise in visitors heading to the UK.

The rules are being relaxed for countries considered low risk due to their coronavirus levels.

India sees another record surge in COVID19 cases

India has added another 26,000 cases to its COVID19 tally- the first time the country's daily caseload has breached the 25,000 mark.

The Indian government maintains that the steady increase in cases is nothing to worry about and that the country doesn't have community transmissions yet.

An MIT study has projected that by early 2021- in the absence of a vaccine or cure- India will see more than 280,000 cases daily.

Biden unveils economic plan to revive US jobs and manufacturing

Supreme Court orders Trump to hand financial records over to prosecutors

The US Supreme Court has ruled that President Trump MUST hand his tax returns and financial records over to prosecutors in New York who are investigating his businesses there.


But in a separate ruling, the Court said the President does not yet have to hand his tax returns over to Democrats in Congress.

UK universities complying with internet restrictions to keep Chinese students on courses

British universities are testing a new online teaching link for students in China, which will require course materials to comply with Chinese restrictions on the internet.


It enables students in China to keep studying UK degrees online, despite limits on internet access. But, they can only reach material on an "allowed" list.

OXFAM Warns Hunger To Affect More Than COVID-19 IN 10 Countries Globally
