SCHOOLS IN ENGLAND TO RETURN "FULL-TIME" FROM SEPTEMBER


All children in England will return to school "full-time" in September and attendance will be mandatory. 

The government's safety plans say that "given the improved position, the balance of risk is now overwhelmingly in favour of children returning to school"

Hundreds arrested as Europe-wide crime communications system cracked


A top-secret communications system used by criminals to trade drugs and arms has been "successfully penetrated," after messages on the encrypted service EncroChat were intercepted and decoded.

The UK's National Crime Agency says more than two tonnes of narcotics, several dozen guns and almost $70m in suspect cash have been seized, and 746 arrests were made.

UK to announce new travel quarantine rules

Dozens of countries are expected to be exempt from the UK's travel quarantine from Monday. 


Currently, most people arriving into the UK from anywhere apart from the Republic of Ireland have to self-isolate for two weeks.


Now, government sources indicate that a "very long list" of states deemed low risk is likely to be published by the end of this week.

HK Lawmaker: Security Law About Silencing Political Dissent

A prominent democratic lawmaker in Hong Kong says the arrest of hundreds of protesters on Wednesday shows the law is less about national security, and more about silencing political dissent.

Seattle Police regain control of "autonomous zone".

Seattle police have cleared an area of the city which became known as the "Capital Hill Autonomous Zone", or CHOP, designated by George Floyd protestors as a 'police-free zone'.

It follows an executive order signed by Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan calling for protesters to leave.
