The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down a law restricting abortions in the state of Louisiana.

It's the court's first major ruling on abortion rights during the Trump presidency.

COVID-19: U.S. sees dramatic rise in cases

UPDATE: Gunmen attack Pakistan Stock Exchange

All four gunmen who attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi have been killed, according to local officials.

TENS OF THOUSANDS OF UK COVID-19 SURVIVORS AT RISK OF PTSD

New funding pledged for English schools

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is promising funding of £1bn ($1.2bn) for 50 major school building projects in England. It's a 10-year programme that is due to start from September 2021.

LEICESTER LOCKDOWN 'MAY BE EXTENDED'

The English city of Leicester may have to remain under current coronavirus restrictions longer than the rest of the country.

The city's Mayor says that's what central government is recommending due to a rise in covid-19 cases there.

Around 25% of the city's 2500 cases have been reported in the previous two weeks, according to figures from mid-June.

The rest of England is due to ease lockdown on Saturday, with pubs and restaurants allowed to reopen.
