Boris Johnson meets EU leaders for high-level Brexit talks

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has met EU leaders for high-level talks on the future of EU-UK relations. 

The talks were the Prime Minister's first direct contact with Brussels about Brexit since the UK left the EU in January.

Major win for U.S. LGBT community over work discrimination

The US Supreme Court has ruled that it's illegal for an employer to fire an employee over their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Germany set to release coronavirus tracing app

Germany is set to release its first coronavirus contact tracing app this week, warning people if they're been in the vicinity of an infected person.

Unlike in other countries, the German app doesn't use a centralized database, which has helped ease privacy concerns.

French president says country has won the first battle in the Covid-19 "war"

Emmanuel Macron made an address to the French people on Sunday evening, urging them to stay vigilant as he announced that all cafes and restaurants across the country can now open fully again.

The French president also said that all primary and secondary schools would re-open from June 22.

Delhi witnesses big surge in cases

India has announced new emergency measures for the capital New Delhi - as it struggles to cope with a surge in COVID19 cases.

Protests erupt after Atlanta police shooting

Protests have erupted over the weekend in Atlanta after a 27 year old black man was fatally shot by white police officers on Friday night.

Breonna Taylor's home city of Louisville bans "no-knock warrants"
