Protests erupt after Atlanta police shooting

Protests have erupted over the weekend in Atlanta after a 27 year old black man was fatally shot by white police officers on Friday night.

It comes three weeks after the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in Minneapolis, which sparked protests across the United States.

Africa wants to participate in vaccine production

Breonna Taylor's home city of Louisville bans "no-knock warrants"


The city of Louisville in Kentucky, where Breonna Taylor was shot dead by police, is banning so-called "no-knock warrants."

UK GDP FELL BY RECORD 20.4% IN APRIL DUE TO LOCKDOWN

UK GDP SLUMPS MOST ON RECORD

UK GDP slumped by 20.4% in April according to new figures - by far the biggest monthly fall on record.

The ONS data comes from the first full month of lockdown restrictions in the UK.

Over the three months from February to April, output declined 10.4%.

The statistics show almost every area of the UK economy was hit hard by the Covid-19 lockdown.
